2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
Your written notice must include all of the following to be considered valid:
- Your physical or electronic signature (or that of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner)
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material on our Site that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it (URL preferred)
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

3. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed or disabled material and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake
- Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for your location
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, AIDBIPOC will notify the original complainant and may restore the material within 10–14 business days unless the complainant seeks a court order.
4. Repeat Infringers
AIDBIPOC maintains a policy of terminating access for users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights in appropriate circumstances.
5. Content Policy — Missing Persons Case Information
All missing persons case profiles on this Site are compiled from publicly available sources including NamUs, law enforcement records, news media, and family-provided information. Use of this information is governed by the following principles:
- Public interest use: Case profiles exist exclusively to support the location of missing persons and to hold institutions accountable for equitable treatment.
- Family removal rights: Families of missing persons may request the removal of a case profile or specific details at any time by contacting AIDBIPOC. Such requests will be reviewed and processed within 5 business days.
- No family contact information: AIDBIPOC does not publish the personal contact information of family members. All community contact is routed through our authorized tip submission system.
- Trafficking indicators: Where trafficking indicators are noted in a case profile, this designation is based on documented evidence and serves a public safety and advocacy function only.
6. Image Use Policy
Missing persons photographs are published with the understanding that their use serves a legitimate public interest in locating that person. Where a family requests removal of a specific photo, AIDBIPOC will comply within 5 business days.
AIDBIPOC's own logos, graphics, and site design elements are the intellectual property of AIDBIPOC and may not be reproduced without written permission, except for attribution purposes in news coverage or advocacy sharing.
7. User-Submitted Content
By submitting any content to this Site (including tips, petition signatures, or comments), you grant AIDBIPOC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, publish, and display that content in connection with our advocacy mission. You represent that you own or have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
