Marissa was last seen at the Exxon gas station located at 809 E Market Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a 25-year-old biracial woman, standing 5’4″ tall and weighing approximately 260 lbs. Marissa’s distinguishing features include long black and blonde braids, a heart tattoo on her face, a butterfly near her eye, a red flower with the word “Ohana” on her breast, and additional tattoos on her wrist, forearm, and outer thigh.
On the day of her disappearance, she was wearing a white t-shirt with large floral patterns (blue, orange, or red flowers), blue jeans, yellow sneakers, large hoop earrings, and large sunglasses with white frames.
Marissa’s disappearance began on Saturday, January 13, 2024, when she traveled to Greensboro with two acquaintances, Person A and Person B. That evening, she went to a bar with Person B and later returned to Person C’s residence. The night’s events, however, became increasingly unclear and troubling.
At approximately 11:30 PM, Marissa and Person C met up with Person D at a nightclub. After leaving the club at 2:30 AM, they attended an after-party at an Airbnb. Whether Marissa entered the venue or stayed in the car is unknown.
- 3:40 AM: Marissa made a 911 call from the Exxon on East Market Street, reporting that Person D had left the car. Person D reportedly left with another customer, abandoning Marissa without her phone.
- 4:20 AM: Police responded to the Exxon but were informed Marissa had already left the scene.
- 4:27 AM: Marissa’s family attempted to contact her via Facebook Messenger, but their calls went unanswered.
- 5:00 AM: Person B, using Marissa’s phone, contacted her father seeking information about Marissa’s phone. The purpose of this call remains unclear.
The last confirmed interaction occurred around 5:30 AM when Marissa used Person B’s phone to call her family. Surveillance footage captured Marissa stumbling outside a store near her residence before entering Person D’s car. Person D later reported driving her around for 30 minutes before dropping her off at the Cumberland Apartments. This was the last known sighting of Marissa.
